Today I bring you a mashup from DJ TopHat. Remember that song “Crank Dat” by Soulja Boy that had everybody dancing? Well DJ TopHat decided to bring it back in a new way. By incorporating the rap song with Feed Me’s heavy dubstep banger “Coldburn”, he created an extremely lively and danceable song. Kane Michael is from the Orange County and Los Angeles area of California. This upcoming trance/house DJ has a sound that resembles the likes of Avicii, Tiesto, and Hardwell. This song, “All That I Am” is a spirited combination of electro melodies held together by a pounding bass. The result is an uplifting song that will have you feeling the need to bounce your head back and forth as you feel the music that Kane Michael has to offer. Curren$y is one dedicated artist. If you didn’t know, this dude has a broken ankle and crutches yet continues to release dank joints. This newest song, “Corvette Doors” is so relaxing that it beckons to be played in a cigar lounge. Sampling Pharrell’s “You Can Do It Too”, the song has a jazz-influenced rhythm that is accentuated by the smooth, beat carrying bass-line and melodic guitar chords. Young Pimp Vol. 1 is the first of five volumes included in a compilation that MartyParty released. The compilation holds an assortment of unreleased songs dating back from 2005 all the way to 2010. The three tracks I’ve included below are my favorites from Vol. 1. I feel these tracks pronounce MartyParty’s unique bass music style to the fullest. Lush with I’m-the-shit feeling rap samples, womps, wubs, wobbles, and ethereal sound waves, Young Pimp Vol. 1 should certainly please the ears of any dubstep fan looking for bass in a more relaxed musical atmosphere. Zedd dropped this track quite recently and I’m glad he did. Zedd’s lively style definitely shines through this new joint. Before the track starts, breathe deeply because you might not get another chance to. Beat-pounding bass kicks, funky electro synths, and flowing transitions infest this song with a virus to keep you dancing throughout. The bonus song below is Zedd’s epic remix of Swedish House Mafia’s summer smash hit “Save The World”. Inhale, listen, enjoy.

TYGA FT DRAKE – STILL GOT IT

I normally don’t listen to Tyga but this song caught my attention. The beat and rhythm of the song is tranquil and increases the R&B vibe that Tyga is creating. Drake stays on point commanding presence on the hook, while Tyga absolutely murders the track rapping ever so smoothly about still loving the lady he met in past. This is a baby-making track for sure. The bonus track is an old-school song from his 2009 mixtape “Black Thoughts”. Inhale this dankness, sit back, and enjoy.

PRETTY LIGHTS – I KNOW THE TRUTH

This epic tune by Pretty Lights dropped a couple weeks ago. This track was uniquely produced using analog equipment and techniques used about 50 years ago. This way of producing gives the track a less robotic and more natural sound, not that you can tell the difference on this mastered version. The song starts with a sample of an epic piano riff. The piano riff is then overtaken by electronic soundscapes. While the distant feeling soundscapes roam around your thoughts, the beat builds up, and then a massive, low frequency dubstep/electronic breakdown intrudes the song. As the song progresses, a passionate voice breaks through the sound to soothe your mixed emotions. Singing her lines with such soul, her voice fades into the final drop.
